About the GHRA
The old
Canadian Pacific Priory station, on the Guelph Junction Railway. This
building was the first permanent building in Guelph, and served for
several years as the CPR station. This photo shows the priory in use
as the station, sometime during the 19th century. This is now the site of
the River Run Centre.

The Guelph Historical Railway Association was founded in 1991 and is a registered charity (BN 89131 4973 RR0001) incorporated in Ontario dedicated to
the preservation of our railway history, especially in the Guelph area.
The GHRA's main areas of focus include the following:
- Restoration of our artifacts (Caboose, baggage car) and public display when possible
- Collection of items/artifacts of Historical interest to Guelph's railway history
- Writing about the history of our railways
- The continuted restoration and upkeep of CNR 6167 located adjacent the Guelph bus terminal.
