Why Become A Member?
Have you considered joining or supporting the GHRA as a member? Members are the backbone of our charity, without members and volunteers the GHRA would not exist. Members can get involved in our restoration work, archival and preservation work. Paid members recieve a copy of our quarterly newsletter, “The Switchstand” and are kept up to date with railway related events in Guelph and surrounding area.
We have opportunities on our Board of Directors for people who want to help us out on an executive level as well.
Our Restoration Work
With the arrival of our new caboose, 4900, we will have a lot of restoration work to do! If you enjoy getting your hands dirty, and want to help us with the restoration of this caboose, please consider becoming a member!Â
Don’t think you have the skills? Don’t worry! Our volunteers are happy to welcome any helping hands are are always more than happy to teach others. Working with our group is a great way to develop new skills and experience.
Don't Want to Volunteer?
Participation is not mandatory to become a member of the GHRA, only your dues are required to be a member. If you want to support us with the purchase of a membership but don’t want to volunteer, your contributions are just as valuable to our organization.
